Elif Goksal
Founder & Managing Director
Elif Goksal has spent more than ten years helping hospitality businesses across England and Wales get the permissions they need to open, grow and keep trading.
Her experience covers the full journey: planning applications, premises licence applications and variations, pavement licences, licensing hearings and appeals. She works closely with councils, police and environmental health officers. She negotiates conditions, presents cases before licensing sub-committees and finds practical solutions where planning and licensing requirements conflict.
Elif is a Member of the Institute of Licensing, the UK's professional body for licensing practitioners. She is also a fully qualified tutor and Head of Centre at Anka, an approved training centre.
After years of handling these cases, Elif saw the same gap again and again. Turkish-speaking restaurant, café and shop owners are a huge part of the UK high street, yet few of them have an expert who can explain the rules clearly in their own language. So she built Anka: a consultancy designed from the ground up around these businesses. Elif works fluently in English and Turkish, so clients understand every step, every condition and every risk before they sign anything.
